- Will the developer do what I want?
Simply put, will the developer try and force a design or graphically rich site down your throat or will they listen to your goals and expectations to create your website.
- Does the developer understand search engine marketing?
This question is a bit tricky, but exceptionally important. Having a developer tell you how your website is going to get in the engines, and citing examples is far more important than having them tell you what they will do.
